Polish Academy of Science - Krakow Branch

The Branch brings together 63 members of the Polish Academy of Sciences representing five divisions: 30 Corresponding Members and 33 Full Members. Representatives of the Kraków scientific community have played an important role in the leadership of the Branch throughout its history, with distinguished scholars of great authority serving as its Presidents.

The mission of the Branch is to support the development of science in the region by:

  • integrating researchers from various disciplines,
  • initiating and supporting scientific research,
  • cooperating with scientific institutions and local government bodies,
  • promoting knowledge and supporting education.
